Thank You From Rector of Blessed John Paul II Seminary — Districts 15 & 18

Below is a thank you letter the Grand Knight received from  Msgr. Panke, Director of Seminarians and Rector of Blessed John Paul II Seminary, sent to Grand Knights of Districts 15 and 18 (to which our council belongs), thanking us for our participation in sponsoring Seminarian Maro. It recounts the total contributions to the program and the effects we’ve all had on the work of the Seminarians:

Dear Knights of Columbus,

I write to express my sincere thank you to all members of the Knights of Columbus for the most generous support we have had to date for our seminarians of the Archdiocese of Washington. Due to the tireless work of Jose Baca and the generosity of forty-nine Councils and two Assemblies in Montgomery, Prince George’s, Calvert, Charles and St. Mary’s Counties, I am so pleased and grateful to know that all forty-five of our seminarians have received financial support this year.

I received a report from Mr. Baca with an overview of the year, which has been the most successful to date. A total of $53,525 was gifted to our seminarians. The average gift was $500, and each of our men was supported by at least two Councils/Assemblies.

Again, please know how extremely grateful I am, as are our seminarians who benefit from the generosity and prayers of the Knights of Columbus. Please be assured of a special remembrance in our prayers for all of the Knights here at the Seminary.

Sincerely,
Rev. Msgr. Robert J. Panke
Rector
Blessed John Paul II Seminary
