District 18: District Deputy Report for November 2014

The month of November is a time to reflect and remember, a time to give thanks. We have Veteran’s Day, a time to remember those service members that gave so that we can be free, and a time to say thank you to them is some way. It is a time to remember those Knights that have passed on and a time to reflect on their volunteering hours and funds to help make this world a better place to live in for us and our children. November is a time to give thanks, and to share Thanksgiving Day with our Families and Friends, creating new memories to share.

The main event for the Knights of Columbus in October was the Car Raffle at the Columbus Day Ball with the funds to go to help provide educational scholarships. The winner’s are posted on the www.kofc-md.org webpage (and no it wasn’t me this time but just wait, there’s next year!) November is the beginning of the Tootsie Roll Campaign to help collect funds to help God’s Special Children and those disabled. And finally, with December just around the corner putting the spirit of giving into our harts and a time to reflect to put Christ in Christmas.

From my family to yours, we wish you a Happy Thanksgiving Day.
Vivat Jesus,
Kevin Kittka, DD
District No. 18
